To Niche or Not To Niche

Unfortunately, I've gotten some pretty bad news this week regarding my business. My website is currently hosted on Adobe Business Catalyst, which is a website platform and CMS solution. I really like this solution because I can access it from anywhere (so its cloud-based) and also integrates a CRM and email marketing feature. They also offer a section or a part of their platform called WebApps, with which you can create custom pages and formats that are duplicatable very easily. This allows you to kind of “plug and play” some information. It helps quickly build membership areas or membership sites. So, there's a lot of benefits to this platform. I've talked about it before on my blog and I'm honestly in shock. Since it's an Adobe product, I thought that I could depend on it. I know that in the online world things come and go all the time. So, I'm not completely oblivious to the fact that things can disappear at a moment's notice. I've had it happen before with other online tools but I think when you have a tool or platform with such a large company, a successful company, it makes you really question things.
